Lightning Strikes In The Republic of Kosovo, The Balkans

LIGHTNING STRIKES IN KOSOVO

Last night there was a big storm that passed through that didn’t produce much rain at all, but the lightning strikes show was incredible.

Nature gave us a show for almost an hour and some beautiful shots were able to be captured with my Canon Powershot D10 on a miniature tripod using the fireworks option.  Since I was manually pressing the shutter button and getting a 2 second exposure, the timing was difficult capturing the lightning strikes, but I achieved what I wanted to do especially with the above photo.

It took over 200, yes 200+, digital photos to achieve the results you see.  Thank goodness for digital technology.  Hope you like the pictures as much as I do.  Please feel free to leave any comments or suggestions.
