This weeks “HUMP DAY” photograph of the week was taken while ‘wandering’ around the town of Gjilan / Gnjilane,  Kosovo.

The Republic of Kosovo is still a developing country where modern western and Kosovo traditional values and lifestyle exist hand in hand.  Kosovo life has been influenced by the long term presence of the NATO-led international peacekeeping forces, known as Kosovo Forces or KFOR, who have been active in Kosovo since 1999.

City life and farm life coexist unlike most western cities I am familiar with.  You never know what you may find or see when exploring Kosovo, so it’s new unexplored territory for some.  There are no fast food chains here yet, but the Kosovaars do enjoy it if they can get it.  The closest place you can find western fast food is in Skopje, Macedonia.  That’s why I was so surprised to see this sight and just had to get a photograph of it because maybe it’s their version of a western delicacy, a “bucket of chicken”. :-)

I think he grabbed this “bucket of chicken” before it was cooked all the way

I hope you enjoyed this week’s “HUMP DAY” Photograph Of The Week!  Wishing you all have a safe and happy Halloween! :-)

About VacationWanderer

I have 'wandered' pretty much around the world but still have a lot to see and experience. My favorite things to do in life are travel, photography, and learning new languages or foreign language phrases to use along the way. "Hello", "Thank You", and "Please" in any language will open many doors for you. :-) I love to share my travel experiences with people and hope to inspire those who are still just thinking about it.
