Snapshot Saturday

A snapshot /random photograph that I like and hope you do too on this wonderful Saturday.

This weeks snapshot / photograph was taken while scuba diving in the Persian Gulf in Salmiya, Kuwait.  Nah… Not really…  :-)  It was actually taken at the aquarium they have in Salmiya, Kuwait.

During my vacation travels out of Iraq, I sometimes had some time to hang out in Kuwait because of layovers and got to go exploring.  I was staying at the Holiday Inn and was just walking around in a daze because it was so damn hot and I noticed the aquarium building.  Needing to get out of the sun I decided I would check it out.

This aquarium is actually a very beautiful one that is well maintained and has a beautiful assortment of sea life to gaze at.  I have been to aquariums before, but the tanks here had to be some of the cleanest and clearest tanks I had ever seen.

If you ever think about visiting Kuwait, make sure you do it after the summer.  Iraq was hot, but Kuwait in the summer?!  It’s beyond hot especially if you are ‘wandering’ around.  The walking path near the Persian Gulf has little to no spots of shade and you will fry.  I was really glad I found the aquarium to duck into.  Although I didn’t get to scuba dive in Kuwait, this experience was just as good..I guess.  Although I actually have swam in the Persian Gulf.  They have some pretty cool shells.  :-)

I hope you enjoyed this weeks SNAPSHOT SATURDAY photograph!  Please feel free to leave me a message / comment!  I would love to hear from you.  Especially if I misidentified the species of this little guy.  All I could think of was the movie “FINDING NEMO’s Dory” when I first saw it, so ‘Mr. Google’ helped me out…. I hope…

Have a great Saturday and weekend!  Have safe and Happy Wanderings as well!

About VacationWanderer

I have 'wandered' pretty much around the world but still have a lot to see and experience. My favorite things to do in life are travel, photography, and learning new languages or foreign language phrases to use along the way. "Hello", "Thank You", and "Please" in any language will open many doors for you. :-) I love to share my travel experiences with people and hope to inspire those who are still just thinking about it.
