TRAVEL
Thailand Sunrise

One of a few instances I have been able to experience a beautiful Thailand sunrise.

Throughout my travels to Thailand I have had the pleasure to experience, there is nothing like waking up to a phenomenal sunrise.  It’s actually very rare that I get up this early!  :)

We have all seen the beautiful beach sunrises and sunsets from around the world that have been immortalized on the internet by my fellow travel bloggers and holiday travelers on all the social websites.  However, if you haven’t partied too much and you happen to be in a city, best if perched high above, you will find them there too.  Thailand is a great example, especially in Bangkok.  The first time I was able to experience a beautiful sunrise was from a hotel room along the Chao Phraya River which shows you the stark differences a sunrise can offer. You never know what Mother Nature will have in store for you in Thailand unless you motivate yourself to be an early riser; or you are someone who is very late getting to bed after another amazing night in Bangkok.

This photograph was taken on the morning I was to leave Thailand yet again to return to work. I just couldn’t sleep.  After tossing and turning in bed, I finally decided to start my day before I had to travel to the airport.  I had taken my shower and stepped out onto the balcony to take in the early morning cityscape as dawn started to tear an opening into the horizon.  I was just amazed by the color of the sky and the eerie silhouettes of the still sleeping buildings.  I grabbed my camera and started to capture what I saw before it disappeared into a new day leaning over the rail seventeen stories still with my towel wrapped around me.  After taking several shots and adjusting my camera, this image was exactly what I saw. Despite feeling depressed that I was leaving my happy place Thailand again, and my incredibly supportive wife, I at least had this memory I could look at time and time again while longing for my return from thousands of miles away.

I hope you like this photograph as much as I do and I hope you also can get the chance someday to experience what beautiful Thailand has to offer.

Happy and safe wanderings! :)

About VacationWanderer

I have 'wandered' pretty much around the world but still have a lot to see and experience. My favorite things to do in life are travel, photography, and learning new languages or foreign language phrases to use along the way. "Hello", "Thank You", and "Please" in any language will open many doors for you. :-) I love to share my travel experiences with people and hope to inspire those who are still just thinking about it.
